WorkTrack – Production Tracking

A web application for production tracking, built for Hiko. A worker signs in on the shop floor, picks a work centre and reports the individual steps of a production order – starting and finishing the work. Orders are never entered by hand; they are imported from an MS Dynamics NAV export, either on demand through the web or automatically by cron.
Reported work is passed back to Navision over SOAP; it used to be retyped manually. Failed transfers are retried by cron and the administrator is notified by e-mail. Each order can be printed as a paper job card with a barcode that is scanned at the workplace. Alongside that, the application tracks overhead time – shift start, cleaning, repairs – which is deliberately kept out of production data in NAV, monitors worker performance and exports the journal to Excel.
Built on Nette and PHP, with a MySQL database. The application runs in production and is being developed further.
